Working with real-world clients in the REMT program taught me a lot about the importance of understanding what the client truly needs and then working to make that a reality, or maybe at least setting goals that are as close to that vision as possible. It was a valuable experience to work on real cases and to try applying theoretical or academic knowledge in practical ways. At the same time, I found myself constantly learning new things as real-world situations presented unique challenges. Another important insight was learning to align plans and strategies with the actual capacity of the client company, ensuring that our solutions were realistic and could be sustained. These insights from the REMT program have really helped me grow in understanding how to work effectively with clients.
During the program, I discovered a strong interest in developing strategies, finding a balance between being realistic and creative was especially engaging for me. I also realized just how much more there is to learn and how much my knowledge still needs refining. I also learned that encountering unexpected scenarios often brings surprising outcomes; sometimes, what I thought was the best approach didn’t work as planned, while ideas I initially doubted myself turned out to be the most effective. These experiences taught me to stay open-minded and flexible, as real-world situations can defy expectations in ways that reveal new perspectives and solutions. This has encouraged me to approach challenges with more humility and adaptability.
My vision for the future of ASEAN is a region that fully realizes its vast potential for growth and collaboration, with myself actively contributing to this progress.
